The main function of electrical insulating oil is cooling and insulation, and it also has the function of eliminating the arc generated when the circuit is cut off. Under the action of heat and electric field, the transformer oil is gradually oxidized in contact with oxygen to generate various oxides, alcohols, aldehydes, acids, etc., and then form insoluble colloids and sludge precipitation. These acid substances reduce the insulation performance of the transformer, so transformer oil must be filtered.
Water and gas are in two forms in oil-dissolved water and gas (below the saturation point) exist in most oil-using systems and equipment, while free water and gas (above the saturation point) exist in many oils in.
Due to system leakage, lax sealing, long-term heat load of oil, open oil storage, etc., moisture and gas in the air settle in the oil, resulting in water and gas in the oil.
Untreated transformer oil has moisture content: 50-60ppm, air content: 10%-20%. In order to make the oil reach the target, it must be treated under the rated vacuum and temperature to remove water and gas, and remove mechanical impurities.
The dielectric properties of oil largely depend on the oil's water content, gas content, impurities and pollution in the oil. Even new oil will absorb gas and moisture during storage and transportation. Therefore, the oil needs to be filtered before use. In addition, the oil must be degassed regularly during use, because the dielectric properties of the oil will be affected by gas and moisture under different temperature conditions.
1. Reasons for oil leakage of vacuum pump:
Oil leakage is one of the most common faults of vacuum pumps. It mainly occurs in the oil window of the vacuum pump, the oil tank gasket, and the motor bearing shaft seal. The main reason is that the vacuum pump has been used for a long time, causing these parts to age and seal failure. This causes oil leakage.
Oil leakage from the oil window is caused by the aging of the oil window due to the long use of the vacuum pump, causing cracks, or the aging and failure of the adhesive between the oil window and the oil tank, resulting in pump oil leakage; there are two front oil seals and rear oil seals on the motor shaft If any oil seal fails, it will cause oil leakage; the oil tank is connected to the motor through an adapter, and there is a sealing ring at the junction of the oil tank and the adapter to seal the oil tank. If it ages, it can also cause oil leakage in the vacuum pump. In addition, there is a felt pad on the adapter, which plays the role of recovering pump oil. If it is full of oil, the vacuum pump will also leak oil.
The way to solve the oil leakage is to replace the aging oil window, shaft seal, gasket and felt pad that has been full of pump oil. After the repair is completed, before filling the oil, use Edward vacuum pump oil to flush the vacuum pump, and clean the filter at the oil filling port with solvent to keep the oil tank clean.
2. The ultimate vacuum that the vacuum pump cannot pump:
When this fault occurs, the air tightness of the vacuum system should be checked first to see if there is a slight leak. Secondly, the gas ballast should be turned on and the pump should run for about 30 minutes to drain the compressible steam caused by non-pump oil pollution and eliminate the influence of compressible steam on the ultimate vacuum.
After excluding the above two factors, the main reasons causing the vacuum pump to fail to draw the ultimate vacuum are the following aspects: pump oil pollution, oil needs to be changed; oil filter in the pump is blocked, causing the compression oil system to be unsmooth and supply Insufficient oil causes the pump body to be tightly sealed. At this time, the internal oil filter needs to be cleaned; deformation, wear or damage of the oil distributor valve can also lead to insufficient oil supply. At this time, check and replace the oil distributor valve; caused by long-term use The rotary vane of the vacuum pump is worn or the spring tension in the rotor is insufficient, which leads to the lack of isolation between the suction chamber and the exhaust chamber, which causes the vacuum pumping performance of the vacuum pump to decrease. At this time, the rotary vane and spring should be replaced, and the rotor and pump cavity should be cleaned; Check the exhaust valve to see if its action fails, resulting in poor exhaust, replace the exhaust valve if necessary.
3. The motor of the vacuum pump stops during operation:
This is because the voltage is too high and the power supply lacks phase and the oil level exceeds the lower limit of the oil level. This can be eliminated by suspending use and checking the power supply. If the startup is not normal, then the electrical component is faulty, just replace the electrical component.
4. Vacuum pump water intake:
If the vacuum pump enters the water due to excessive water accumulation in the cooler, the water is pumped into the vacuum pump for processing, and the oil has a lot of water content. The water vapor cannot be cooled in the cooler into water and enters the vacuum pump. If the water level is too high, the level gauge should be discharged in time, the vacuum pump should be cleaned, and the vacuum pump oil should be replaced to eliminate this situation.
